Had the pleasure of checking out Phat Milk's menu a couple of weekend's ago and it was seriously delicious! We were greeted at the door by a friendly face and was taken to the back where there was a whole space of seating including ones inside and outside. We decided to sit on the outside for photo purposes and it was definitely worth it! 

Here we have ordered the Breakfast Pantry, Eggs Benedict and the French Toast. 

The Breakfast Pantry was definitely something that I would not usually order, but it was such a lovely surprise, the quinoa salad along with the halloumi cheese and beetroot hummus all came together in such a flavourful mouthful, I was absolutely in LOVE! 

Eggs Benedict is always an interesting choice as every cafe always have their own twist to it, in this case it came in a delicious fluffy croissant with asparagus, yum! 

Lastly, we always have to finish with a sweet dish! The French Toast was so fluffy and I absolutely loved the chocolate crumb, caramel with the range of fresh fruits. 

Thank you again to the Phat Milk team for such a delicious feed! Cannot wait to come back again to try more new things!

Dippy eggs, colourful fruit bowls and burgers...what more could you want?! I had the pleasure of checking out the beautiful Stepping Stone cafe a couple of weekends back and it was seriously the cutest place!! 

My boyfriend and I were lucky enough to try a range: 

• Hey Stoner (fresh fruit muesli in coconut bowl) 
• Mamas boy burger
• Kiss and Run Soldiers
• Runaway Dreamer Smoothie Bowl 

Hey Stoner muesli bowl is an easy selection for those that prefer to be on the healthier side. Served with fresh fruit and the touch of the coconut bowl definitely makes it an extremely appealing choice! 

Mamas boy burger was filled with delicious Asian-inspired flavours. I am a huge burger fanatic and this definitely satisfied my burger cravings! 

Stepping Stone is famous for their 'Kiss and Run Soldiers' where it provides two eggs with a range of sides. The colourful egg carton it comes in definitely makes it instablogger friendly! 

Their Runaway Dreamer Smoothie bowl consists of a range of healthy ingredients including beetroot, banana, goji berries, mango etc. Every bite was a mouthful of different textures and fresh flavours, definitely a great go to summer dish! 

This gorgeous cafe is definitely quite unique compared to all the other cafes I've been too. At the moment, all their food is served at the front yard and porch, perfect for a sunny day! I will definitely be back to try their dinner menu.

After almost a year since I visited Serotonin Eatery, I was invited by the lovely owner Emily to try some of their new dishes! We were greeted at the door by a smiling staff member who took us to the outdoor area of the cafe. As the day was a bit chilly, we were even given blankets to keep us warm (definitely something you don't get a normal cafe!!). We had a tough time deciding on what dishes to get, so the friendly staff member gave us some recommendations. My boyfriend and I decided to get the Deconstructed Sushi and the old favourite Positive Pancakes as well as a peanut butter latte and cacao coconut latte. 

Food didn't take too long to come and when we received it, we were so impressed. Presentation was beautiful as usual, where we were given colourful dishes and smiley faces on our drinks (how cute!). 


The Deconstructed Sushi was absolutely DELICIOUS!! I was surprised by how much I loved it. I wouldn't say I'm the healthiest person, so when I first read it, I pictured the dish to be quite bland...I was so wrong! It was actually packed with wonderful flavours from a range of vegetables and had a lot of different textures to it too. My favourites were the wasabi peas which gave the dish the crunch it needed. 
 Lastly, we received a small generous surprise from the staff, the Choc Mint Magnum Nice-Cream!!! The presentation was absolutely beautiful and looked exactly like a magnum!! It even had gold leaf detailing on the chocolate, which made it even prettier. While I am not a big fan of mint, the texture of the nice-cream was so similar to normal ice cream, I would absolutely love to try the Golden Gaytime Nice-Cream next time! 

Son in Law, takes it's name from a dish with a humorous back-story. It is said that if a mother in law feels her son in law is being less than kind to her daughter, she'll cook and serve these deep fried eggs as a clear message: be nice because your family jewels are on the line!

Son in Law is a a Thai restaurant opened by three friends Tony, Kate and Joy. After they ran 'Ayatana' on Chapel street Windsor for three and a half years, this was their next plan, to open a casual, modern and fun place-and they nailed it! This colourful, bright lit restaurant, located within Collingwood gives the authentic Thai food a modern twist and displays Thai food in a whole new light.

I was lucky enough to be able to go to Son in Law last Sunday and experience the food myself. We ordered the famous Son in Law Eggs, Pad Thai (Chicken), Crispy soft shell crab and tiger prawns and Deep fried chicken ribs as well as two Thai-inspired drinks; milk tea and coffee.

Son In Law eggs  The famous dish that the restaurant was named after was a greater starter for our dinner. The eggs were quite simple, but had a lot of flavour. They were light and the sauce was a beautiful balance of sweet and spicy flavour that wasn't too overpowering.

Crispy soft shell crab and Tiger prawns This was served with green curry. The curry itself was fantastic in so many ways; the presentation, aroma and flavour. For those that cannot handle spicy as much (people like me), it was just enough punch and had a more of a sweet taste to it. This was definitely our top favourite dish for the night.

Pad Thai (chicken)  Whenever I want Thai food, Pad Thai comes to mind and the one from Son in Law did not disappoint. Like their other dishes, this Pad Thai had a sweet flavour to it with a slight punch of spiciness.

Deep fried chicken ribs These ribs came to our table crispy and light. The taste was amazing! Every bite into the delicious golden crumbed chicken was a mix of spicy and citrus taste. This was definitely a dish worth getting your hands dirty for!! To bring even more flavour to the dish, the chicken is paired with a delicious bowl of nam jim jaew.

Three Monkeys Place Cafe began through the idea of wanting a place in Doncaster with a casual relaxing atmosphere from three inspirational individuals. Their goal is to produce a place with great vibe, food and coffee and I have to say that they're ticking all the boxes. The best part is that I don't have to travel all the way to the inner suburbs to get delicious and beautiful food!

This cafe is definitely going to become a regular brunch place for me, not just because it's so close to me but also because of the FOOD! While they have some of the typical brunch food, they also have some where they add their own twist (which is always exciting and refreshing). Their menu is influenced by their chef that comes from a Hong Kong background where he has had experiences in various fine dining establishments, thus Three Monkeys Place consist of food with elements of classical French, Italian techniques with Asian influences.

We asked the waiter what he would recommend, so we ordered the Porky Pig and the Sweet Monkey where both had Roti in it. Now this might sound strange, but it was absolutely delicious.

First, the Porky Pig has the biggest crackling! The presentation was amazing and definitely had the 'wow' factor. The portion was generous, and extremely yum! *NOTE if you are sitting outside, keep an eye on your crackling!! (halfway through our meal, the last bit of our crackling flew away!)

The Sweet Monkey was an interesting experience. I would have thought that the roti would taste strange in a sweet dish, but  it was actually strangely delicious! It reminded me of fried bananas with ice-cream and mixed berries. Definitely would recommend it!

I'm a huge believer in not judging a book by its cover, the same goes for this cute little cafe located in Hawthorn. While the exterior was not as attractive outside, the inside was nicely decorated with pot plants on the walls! They have three seating areas, a small seating area outdoor in front of the cafe, an indoor area as well as outdoor patio at the back.

After much hype over Instagram, I knew that I had to come to Muharam Cafe to try their famous shakes! I was pleasantly greeted at the door by a friendly waitress and even though it was really busy, I was almost seated immediately. While I was there, there was a constant flow of customers coming in and out, displaying that it is a very popular place.

We ordered the Wagyu beef burger and the nut-telling shake. The beef burger itself was delicious and made with fresh ingredients. The chips were crispy on the outside and soft in the inside (just the way I like it!).

Now the Nut-telling shake was DEFINITELY the best part!! I expected it to be overly sweet, but was happy that it had a perfect balance. If you come to Muharam Cafe, the shakes are one of the things you should definitely get! I would recommend getting the shake with an accompanying savoury dish, just so that you won't have an overly sweet brunch :) or I would try out the Red Velvet Pancakes, have heard many positive comments about it!
